The Office of Equity and Human Rights & City of Portland Disability program are delighted to invite you to a community showing of Lives Worth Living, a fast-paced, hour-long documentary about the battles leading up to the Americans with Disabilities Act. We’ll be gathering on August 17th from 1-3pm. It is okay to come late or leave early!

This year, we celebrate the 27th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Through rare news
footage and interviews with some of the most prominent leaders of the Disability Rights Movement, Lives
Worth Living takes us into the actions of disabled activists and their supporters during the battles leading up
to the ADA. Join us to witness this history in the ongoing fight for civil rights for people with disabilities.
